The American Diabetes Association announces a strategic partnership with Voxiva, an mHealth development company. The partnership will add Voxiva’s Care4life diabetes self-management platform to the ADA’s “Living with Type 2 Diabetes” program, a free, year-long program for patients newly diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.

Care4life is a phone-based diabetes management platform that combines text messages, an online portal, and a web app to deliver personalized content while incorporating evidence-based behavior change techniques. The platform includes medication adherence solutions, appointment reminders, diabetes education, blood glucose tracking, and weight and exercise goal setting and tracking.

“The Association is always searching for new ways to make diabetes management easier and more readily available to people with diabetes. We are excited to add Care4life to our Living With Type 2 Diabetes Program as there are many people living with diabetes who will benefit from this personalized program.” – Larry Hausner, CEO of the American Diabetes Association.

In addition, the ADA has committed to working with Voxiva to validate existing evidence-based content and diabetes education, and to further build the library of content powering its Care4life platform.
