Former ONC Chief Robert Kolodner Named CMO at ViTel Net

McLean, Va.-based ViTel Net welcomes former ONC Chief and physician informaticist Robert Kolodner, MD to the company, where he will fill the role of chief medical officer and vice president.

Kolodner served as the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology from 2006-2009. Prior to that, he was the national physician informatics leader for the Department of Veterans Affairs, where served as the clinical champion for VistA and oversaw the launch of MyHealtheVet, VA’s personal health record for veterans. Throughout the 90s, Kolodner oversaw the VA’s emerging telehealth program and the creation of the its national telemedicine office.
