GE and StartUp Health Launch Three-Year Health Entrepreneurship Program

GE and StartUp Health announced in January that they would partner to create a health IT incubator program that would invite 13 healthcare startups to participate in a three-year program. Those 13 startups have now been unveiled.

The program will partner each company with a GE executive who will help guide the formation and business model. While the program does not explicitly define a seed funding amount, it does promise to deliver access to customers, pilot programs, strategic partners, talent, and capital needed to build a successful growth business and scale more rapidly. In exchange for participation, startups sign over two to 10 percent equity ownership to GE and StartUp Health.
