12-6-2012 8-43-30 PM

The Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, an office within HHS, announces a mobile application contest that carries a $50,000 prize. The contest challenges app developers to find creative ways of leveraging evidence-based health and wellness data published on the HHS run website Healthfinder.gov in a mobile and strategically actionable format.

Developers are asked to create a personalized tool that will introduce healtfinder.gov information to patients at the natural point of making health decisions, with the expectation that this will result in improved overall health and wellness.

Submissions are due by February 1, 2013 and the $50,000 winner will be announced in March. Additional contests will be announced later in 2013.
