iHealth Introduces New Activity Tracker

5-26-2013 1-59-57 PM

iHealth, makers of wireless blood pressure monitors and wireless scales, introduces two new products to its portfolio: a wireless pulse oximetry monitor and an activity tracker.

The pulse oximeter is marketed for sports and recreational use rather than for home monitoring of chronic conditions like heart failure. It measures O2 saturation and pulse.

The more robust activity tracker comes in as a respectable market entry with the ability to track steps taken, calories burned, distance traveled, hours slept, and analysis of sleep patterns. Goals and alerts can be customized. Data integrates with a mobile app that trends and aggregates with data sent from iHealth’s blood pressure monitor and wireless scale.

Along with the new activity tracker, iHealth announces a new partnership with MyFitnessPal and RunKeeper, which will also integrate data with the iHealth app.
