Maxwell Health Closes $2 Million Series A Round for Employee Wellness Program

Concierge benefits management company Maxwell Health closes a $2 million series A round led by Tribeca Venture Partners. Launched in February, the New York, NY-based startup helps employers manage employee health insurance plans, benefits, and payroll.

The startup brings the concept of health insurance exchanges to the corporate world by delivering a platform used by employees to research a variety of different coverage options, evaluate cost and care implications of each, and seek advice on which to chose. Maxwell also builds in a series of incentives and tool to foster improved employee health. Back office analytics dashboards allow human resources staff to manage benefits, track hiring, and manage employee engagement.

The company is licensed to serve businesses in 24 states, and growing. Funding from the round will be used to continue expansion into new territories. The company is also planning to add nurse on-call service, as well as tracking and managing nutrition, sleep and stress.
