Advocates of the quantified self movement will have some fun new toys to add to their wish lists this Christmas, as Mindbloom and Elbrys showcase an integration API that will allow third-party medical devices to push metric data to Mindbloom applications.

"The technologies underlying wearable sensors that measure physical activity, sleep and other biometric information have come a long way and we see a massive opportunity to integrate this data into our industry-leading offerings. Elbrys has done the hard work in integrating and normalizing data from popular biometric devices, as well as the more condition specific monitoring devices, and provides access to that data through a single API." – Brent Poole, CEO of Mindbloom.

Mindbloom, a leader in self-tracking mHealth applications, demonstrated m2m integration of patient data from wireless pedometers, weight scales, and blood pressure monitors at today’s mHealth Summit. Through a common gateway provided by Elbrys, Mindbloom will have a pathway for medical devices to push clinical information to the app for patients to enhance self-tracking.
