New digital health insurance platform, LEAGUE announces it has raised $25 million in Series A financing. LEAGUE plans to expand its product offering and geographic reach to markets in the U.S. The financing follows the company’s launches in Seattle, Toronto, and Vancouver in 2015.

New York City-based Talkspace raises $15 million in Series B funding. The company will use the funds to accelerate the growth and expansion of its online therapy services.

Iggbo, a healthcare technology company that provides on-demand blood draws and medical testing closes on a $13 million Series A financing round. Iggbo, which currently operates in over 120 cities, will use the funds to offer on-demand blood collection services to diagnostic laboratories, health systems, providers, retailers, and payers.

Boston-based accelerator MassChallenge announces the closing of the $25.8 million Massachusetts Innovation Catalyst Fund, which will invest in digital healthcare companies that are headquartered or have operations in Massachusetts. This coincides with the launch of Pulse@MassChallenge, an innovation lab for digital health entrepreneurs. The 8,000 square-foot lab will connect entrepreneurs with providers, investors, corporations, and institutions.

Burner unveils a new app that will break up with someone for you. Ghostbot is a witty text message auto-responder that is trained to understand intents. Once enabled for a specific number, it will detect incoming text messages and respond with something flat and noncommittal. This continues until the unwanted texter gets the hint and goes away.
