Accolade raises $70 million in a new Series E funding led by Andreessen Horowitz. The company provides an on-demand healthcare concierge for employers, health plans, and health systems. Accolade will use the capital to expand its technology platform, R&D, and sales and marketing initiatives.

Honor, a home health startup, gains $42 million in a Series B round of funding led by Thrive Capital. The company, launched in 2015, will use the funds to expand its home care services from California into Texas. They will be hiring more home care professionals as well as engineers to continue building and expanding its technology platform.

Innovaccer, closes $15.6 Series A led by Westridge Capital Partners. The Tech30 2015 big data startup will use the new capital to grow its footprint in healthcare.

Iconic Therapeutics adds an additional $10 million in Series C financing to the round first announced in January 2016. Iconic Therapeutics is a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company working on treatments for retinal disease and cancer. The new funds will be used to advance development of its lead molecule ICON-1 in retinal diseases and will also begin clinical trials of the molecule in ocular melanoma.

NextHealth Technologies completes a $8.5 million Series A round of funding led by Norwest Venture Partners. NextHealth’s SaaS platform integrates prescriptive analytics, behavioral economics and multichannel consumer engagement. The platform predicts risk-reduction opportunities and prescribes “nudges” to dramatically improve and optimize outcomes. They will use the funding to grow its engineering talent and deliver system enhancements to existing users of its enterprise platform.

Bloomlife, a digital health company focused on improving the health of moms and babies announces the closing of $4 million of seed funding. Bloomlife offers a sensor that can measure important health parameters of mom and baby from conception to birth. With this new funding, Bloomlife will focus on commercializing its first product, a smart pregnancy wearable that detects and tracks contractions which expectant moms can visualize on their smartphone. This round of funding brings their total funding to $6 million.

Sonavex secures $2.04 million in an undisclosed Series of Venture funding. The biotechnology company offers a soft tissue marker used to mark surgical sites with ultrasound. EchoMark has a specially designed form factor that provides intuitive, continuous changes in its two-dimensional ultrasound outline when imaged from different angles and positions. This enables the exact desired location of the marker (and therefore the surgical site) to be identified, iteratively navigated to and imaged whenever desired.
