San Francisco-based Practice Fusion, a cloud-based ambulatory EHR vendor, is rumored to be nearing the completion of a $60 million Series D investment round. The company raised a $34 million Series C round last summer on a $500 million valuation. This year’s $60 million comes on a $600 – $700 million valuation. The company has been spending money aggressively this year to maintain a Meaningful Use compliant EHR and to expand its product portfolio.

Practice Fusion acquired 100Plus for an undisclosed sum earlier this year. 100Plus is an analytics powered mobile app that drives behavioral change in patients by promoting small, meaningful lifestyle changes like taking the stairs rather than the elevator, or drinking a glass of water every morning. Practice Fusion has also launched a patient-facing web page that compiles physician referrals, facilitates appointment requests, and processes bill payments. The platform competes with other consumer portals, like ZocDoc.

According to rumors, the new funding will come from a large New York-based investment company and will be announced within days.
