Seamless Medical Systems Raises $2 Million in Early Stage Funding

Santa Fe, NM-based Seamless Medical Systems announces the completion of a $2 million early stage funding round led by an anonymous group of individual contributors. Though investor details were not disclosed, Seamless reports that the majority of the investors were private practice physicians who are excited about an innovative platform the startup is creating.

The flagship product behind Seamless Medical Systems is SNAP, a cloud-based patient check-in application accessed over a tablet. The platform is designed to capture registration information from patients in the waiting room, and then integrate that data into both registration and the clinical documentation modules.

Patients keep their SNAP login information after registration and the platform delivers a patient portal platform that enables continued communication with clinicians and pushing customized health and wellness content from the Mayo Clinic.

The funding will be used to develop integration points between the platform and major EHR systems, as well as to continue market penetration activities. A second round of funding will be pursued this summer, according to CEO David Perez.
