Stretchable Electronics Maker MC10 Adds $8M To Its Series C Round

Cambridge, MA-based MC10, a startup focused on revolutionizing the wearables market by creating elegant, stretchable devices that can bend and flex with the body’s movements, announces that it has added $8 million to its Series C funding round, bringing its total to $18 million,

The company’s devices can be used both on and in the body, monitoring head impact, heart rate, brain activity, muscle function, body temperature, and hydration. It’s first marketable product is a skull cap created in tandem with Reebok that measures head impacts during play.

The Series C round brings MC10’s total funding to $38 million since 2008.
