Tablet Adoption Grows Among Clinic Physicians

iPad

A recent mHIMSS study reveals a growing number of doctors using mobile devices, with between 40 percent and 50 percent reporting that they use tablets. Interestingly, early fears of alienating patients in the exam room appear to be subsiding as 80 percent of consumers report wanting to see their doctors use mobile health solutions.

An earlier Epocrates study suggests the same increasing adoption of technology as it finds that one in three physicians plan to buy an iPad mini due to its size.
