Teletherapy Company AbilTo Closes $3 Million Series A Funding

New York, NY-based AbilTo, a behavioral health company focusing teletherapy and remote clinical interventions, closes a $3 million Series A round led by investment firm .406 ventures. The company will use the funds to expand its technology platform.

Founded in 2008, AbilTo works through health plans to provide teletherapy programs that focus on depression associated with cardiac events, diabetes, chronic pain, breast cancer, and postpartum depression.

By 2011, the company was working with both Aetna and Cardiac Health Forum to deliver behavioral health interventions in the post-acute setting for patients who had recently suffered major cardiac events.
