Withings Raises $30 Million In New Funding

Paris, France-based Withings raises $30 million in new funding in its second investment round, led by Bpifrance. The company has raised $33.8 million since its first round of $3.8 million in 2010.

Withings markets a platform of consumer health devices such as activity trackers, blood pressure monitors, and wireless scales.  The devices integrate with a mobile health app that allows users to track a wealth of health and wellness data.

We are stepping up our R&D programs to push for more innovation into making more beautiful products and reinforcing our marketing muscles and partnerships to gain new markets in this booming sector.” – Eric Carreel, co‐founder and Chairman of Withings.

Withings will use the new funding to expand its overseas presence and strengthen its in-house R&D team.
